Stallone Announces Move To Florida

Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone has recently made headlines with his decision to permanently leave California and relocate to Florida. In the season two premiere of his reality show, “The Family Stallone,” the movie star announced to his daughters that he and his wife, Jennifer Flavin, have decided to leave the state they have called home for many years.

The reasoning behind the move seems to be a desire for change. Stallone, known for his iconic role as Rocky Balboa, spoke about this in his Netflix documentary “Sly,” stating that a location change can jump-start creativity. Flavin, in an interview with Fox News Digital, also mentioned a desire for a fresh start and a new lifestyle.

But the family’s move is not just a personal decision, as they have been welcomed with open arms by Florida’s governor’s wife, Casey DeSantis. In a public statement, DeSantis expressed her excitement for the family’s relocation and cited Florida’s respect for citizens’ constitutional rights as a welcoming factor.

The Stallones have already settled into their new home in Palm Beach, which they purchased for a whopping $35.4 million. The property boasts a beautiful view and over 13,000 square feet of living space, with a main house, guest house, and pool pavilion.

The move has raised questions about the safety of California, especially with concerns over the increasing crime rate in the state. However, Flavin made it clear in her interview that their decision was not based on crime statistics but a desire for change. She also pointed out that crime exists everywhere, even in small towns.

This move marks a new chapter for the Stallone family, who have called California home for many years. Flavin, who was born and raised in the state, mentioned that her daughters have all moved out to the East Coast, and they no longer have any close friends in California. Therefore, the decision to relocate was an easy one.

“I was born and raised there, two of our kids were born there, but now everyone’s out, our daughters moved to the East Coast … so there wasn’t really anything left for me in California,” she continued. “A few of our best friends also moved, so I think it’s [a] good change, just making new friends, living a totally different lifestyle, I love it, I’m really happy.”

Sylvester Stallone’s permanent move to Florida has caused quite a stir in the media. However, the actor’s decision seems to be driven by a desire for change and a fresh start. This seems to be the thoughts of many who live in California these days.
