The January 6th select committee really thought that they had something special on Thursday, in what could very well be one of their final public hearings.
That’s because the group, which has been dedicated to defaming former President Donald Trump from their inception, finally got up the nerve to make a move on the MAGA Republican, publicly voting to subpoena Trump to testify in front of them.
But, in true Trump fashion, the liberal-led committee was soon eating crow after the former Commander in Chief made his retort.
Former President Donald Trump “loves the idea of testifying” before the House select committee investigating January 6th, a source close to Trump told Fox News Digital just after the panel unanimously voted to subpoena him.
And he would have plenty to talk about, too…
The source said that if Trump complied with the subpoena and testified, he would “talk about how corrupt the election was, how corrupt the committee was, and how Nancy Pelosi did not call up the National Guard that Trump strongly recommended for her to do three days earlier on January 3, 2021.”
The source told Fox News Digital that it is unclear at this point if Trump actually will testify before the committee, but stressed that Trump “loves the idea.”
And so, once again, we see Donald Trump completely dismantling some alleged “bombshell” from his political opponents, and taking the wind directly out of the sails of those who seek to keep him off of the 2024 ballot.
